Favourite BBQ Pork Spareribs

  1. Place ribs in stock pot.
  2. Add enough water to cover ribs.
  3. Bring to boil; skim foam from surface.
  4. Add onions, ginger and 2 Tbsp.
  5. rice wine; cover.
  6. Simmer on medium-low heat 1 hour.
  7. Remove from heat; let stand 15 min.
  8. Transfer ribs to large shallow dish; discard cooking liquid.
  9. Mix next 5 ingredients and remaining rice wine; pour over ribs.
  10. Refrigerate 8 hours to marinate, turning occasionally.
  11. Heat greased barbecue to medium heat.
  12. Remove ribs from marinade, reserving marinade.
  13. Grill ribs 20 min., turning occasionally.
  14. Brush with reserved marinade; grill 10 min.
  15. or until golden brown, turning occasionally.
