Grandma Eula's Baked Caramel Corn
- 5 quarts popcorn
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 12 light Karo syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Melt butter.
- Stir in sugar, syrup & salt.
- Bring to boil stirring constantly.
- Boil for five minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla.
- Pour over popcorn in a large buttered pan.
- I like to use the large aluminum disposable pans.
- Bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Seal in plastic Ziploc bag.
