Pog A Links, (Deep Fried Fish) Recipe
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. powdered lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 c. water
- Fish, any kind, preferably caught in Lake Pogamissing
- Sift dry ingredients together, blend in shortening.
- This will yield 4 1/2 c.. Take half of this mix and add in to it 1 egg and 1 c. water.
- Coat the fish pcs with this mix and deep fry at 375 degrees till golden on both sides.
- (This could also be done in an electric fry pan, but at Pog the use of an electric frying pan is not practical.)
- Yields 16 servings.
