Oil-Free Granola
- 3 cups oatmeal
- 1 cup wheat flakes
- 1 cup rye flakes
- 1 cup bran
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup dried apricots, chopped
- 1/2 cup dates, chopped
- 1 cup dried apples, chopped
- 1/2 cup cashews, chopped
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
- Combine all dry ingredients, fruits and nuts in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the honey, hot water and vanilla.
- Add to dry ingredients and mix well.
- Spread a 1/2 inch layer on baking dished and bake in a 250F oven for one hour, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from oven, let cool.
- Store in covered containers.
