Moist Chocolate Cake with Coffee

  1. Preheat oven to 325F Fahrenheit.
  2. Sift together dry ingredients.
  3. Add oil, coffee and milk.
  4. Mix with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla.
  6. Mix for another 2 minutes.
  7. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9" cake pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Cool cake 15 minutes before removing from pan.
  10. meanwhile, Whisk milk and flour in a saucepan over heat.
  11. Cook until thick.
  12. Cover and refrigerate.
  13. Cream butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla.
  14. Add chilled milk mixture and beat for 10 minutes.
  15. Assemble and frost cake.
