Less Sugar Cocoa Cream Pie
- 1 -9 inch prepared pie crust
- 14 cup white sugar
- 14 cup cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 egg yolks, Beaten
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Stir together the sugar cocoa powder , cornstarch and salt in a medium saucepan.
- Gradually stir in the milk.
- Cover over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened and is bubbly.
- boil 1 min then remove from heat.
- Gradually stir about half the hot filling into yolks, then return all to the saucepan keep stiring untill its.Heated to a gentile boil and then remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
- Pour the filling into the crusts.
- Press plastic wrap directy into the surface.
- Cool and refrigerate until set 4-6 Hours
- Garnish with whipped cream.
