Crispy & Soft Banana Potato Starch Donuts
- 70 grams Cake flour
- 30 grams Katakuriko (potato starch flour)
- 30 grams Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 80 ml Water (milk is also okay)
- 1 Banana
- 1 Frying oil
- Cut the banana into about 1.5 cm slices.
- Place the bowl on a scale and add the powder ingredients while measuring (gross weight + amount).
- Use a rubber spatula or large spoon to mix well.
- Add the water and mix in a cutting motion until no longer powdery.
- Add the banana.
- Heat the frying oil in a small frying pan or pot.
- Just enough for the banana pieces in step 2 to be submerged in and quickly float.
- Prepare a rubber spatula or large spoon.
- Use the spoon to scoop up the banana pieces, covered in batter, 1 at a time and place in the pan to fry (weak-medium to medium heat).
- Fry while using chopsticks to turn them over.
- They cook easily, so they fry pretty quickly.
