Pecan Berry Shortcake Recipe
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. light cream
- 1/2 c. broken pecans
- Sift flour, baking pwdr, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in butter.
- Combine beaten egg and cream.
- Add in to dry ingredients.
- Add in pecans.
- Mix.
- Pat dough on lightly floured board to 3/4 inch thick.
- Cut with 3 inch biscuit cutter.
- Bake on very lightly greased cookie sheet at 450 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
- Split shortcakes when served.
- Spread with butter and berries.
- Top with cream.
