Exotic Steak
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/2 - 1 inch ginger
- 3 -4 steaks (pieces of steak, cut thin)
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 lime
- 7 ounces water
- 1/2 cup peanuts
- 1 teaspoon cumin seed
- 1/8 teaspoon asafoetida powder
- 1 pinch turmeric
- Heat oil in a wok or pan.
- Make a paste or the onion, garlic and ginger. Then brown them in the pan.
- Add the peanuts and cumin then wait untill it is brown.
- After that, stir the steak inches Add the red pepper, tumeric, asafetida, (tumeric and asafetida are optional), soy sauce, lime and waterl.
- When the steak is done, serve over rice or noodle.
- You can garnish on the side with cilantro or green onions.
