Easy Toddler Pasta and Veggies
- 1/2 cups Finely Sliced Baby Carrots
- 1/2 cups Small Bite-size Pasta
- 1/2 cups Frozen Green Peas
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1/2 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 18 teaspoons Dry Mustard
- 18 teaspoons Salt
- 1 dash Black Pepper
- 1/2 cups Whole Milk
- 1/2 cups Shredded White Cheddar Cheese
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a small sauce pan.
- Add carrots and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add pasta and green peas and cook approximately 10 minutes (or however long the directions for the pasta say).
- Drain pasta and veggies.
- In the same sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour, dry mustard, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute or until bubbly.
- Slowly whisk milk into butter/flour mixture and cook for about 2 minutes until thick and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
- Return pasta and veggies to the pan and stir until well coated with cheese sauce.
