Borracho Beans Recipe

  2. Borracho (meaning "drunken") refers to dishes that have been cooked with beer or possibly liquor.
  3. This dish calls for stale (or possibly flat) beer.
  4. For a little extra flavor, you can use wheat or possibly other flavored beer.
  5. In medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
  6. Add in onion, bell pepper, garlic and jalapeno and cook, stirring often, till vegetables begin to soften, about 5 min.
  7. Add in beans, beer and dry seasonings and cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, for 8 to 10 min.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in cilantro.
