French Bread Pizza
- 1 large long French baguette
- 3 tablespoons tomato puree
- 8 ounces drained and sliced can tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 4 ounces cheddar cheese
- 2 ounces drained anchovies packed in oil
- 4 ounces crumbled cooked bacon
- 4 black onions
- Cut a French stick in half a length-ways and then in half a cross-ways on a slant.
- Place a slice of bread on a pre-heated hot grill, then toast the surfaces that are supposed to be cut until golden.
- Spread the surfaces that are suppose to be cut with tomato puree, tomatoes, herbs, and cheddar.
- Arrange those anchovy fillets over the cheddar cheese on half of the French bread pizzas, and bacon slices on the rest.
- Garnish with some olives.
- Place the French bread pizzas under a pre-heated moderate heat grill and cook for ten minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Serve, hot.
