Muffuletta Sandwich
- 3 cups Pimento stuffed olives, chopped
- 2 cups black olives, pitted, chopped
- 2/3 cups parsley, chopped
- 1 1/3 cups Kraft Sundried Tomato and Oregano Dressing
- 5 loaves Round French crusty loaf
- Italian salami, thinly sliced
- smoked ham, shaved
- 25 slices Kraft Mozzarella Cheese Slices
- 10 tomatoes, sliced Safeway 1 lb For $1.29 thru 02/09
- 1 1/2 cups Kraft Shredded Asiago
- COMBINE olives, parsley and dressing.
- Marinate 1 hour.
- SLICE loaves in half horizontally; hollow out bread from bottom half.
- ASSEMBLE on bottom half of each loaf as follows: 1/2 cup olive mixture, 5 oz (150 g) salami, 6 oz (180 g) ham, 5 slices Monterey Jack Cheese, 2 tomatoes, sliced, 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) Asiago.
- ADD top half of loaf and wrap tightly.
- Refrigerate to allow flavours to blend.
- To serve, unwrap sandwich; Heat until cheese melts and cut each loaf into 6 wedges.
