Muffuletta Sandwich

  1. COMBINE olives, parsley and dressing.
  2. Marinate 1 hour.
  3. SLICE loaves in half horizontally; hollow out bread from bottom half.
  4. ASSEMBLE on bottom half of each loaf as follows: 1/2 cup olive mixture, 5 oz (150 g) salami, 6 oz (180 g) ham, 5 slices Monterey Jack Cheese, 2 tomatoes, sliced, 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) Asiago.
  5. ADD top half of loaf and wrap tightly.
  6. Refrigerate to allow flavours to blend.
  7. To serve, unwrap sandwich; Heat until cheese melts and cut each loaf into 6 wedges.
