Baked Lasagne
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground lean pork (sausage)
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. crushed basil leaves
- 1 (1 lb.) creamed cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. crushed oregano leaves
- 8 oz. lasagne noodles, cooked and well drained
- 3/4 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 grated Parmesan cheese
- Cook ground beef, ground pork, onion and garlic in Dutch oven until meat is brown.
- Drain off excess fat.
- Add tomatoes and break up with a fork.
- Stir in tomato sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoons parsley flakes, the sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt and basil.
- Simmer uncovered 1 hour until mixture is like good spaghetti sauce.
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
