Blue Plum Conserve

  1. Grind the oranges and 1/2 lemon in a meat grinder, using the coarsest blade.
  2. Combine all the ingredients, except the nuts, in a large pot.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Cook over medium heat until the conserve thickens.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in nuts and pour into hot, sterilized jelly glasses.
  6. Cover with a thin layer of melted paraffin.
  7. When hardened, cover glasses and store.
