Bayou Boeuf Jambalaya Recipe

  1. Heat shortening in heavy saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in flour, salami, and green pepper.
  3. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Add in remaining ingredients except rice.
  5. Bring to boil.
  6. Add in rice to liquid.
  7. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes.
  8. till all liquid is absorbed.
