Grandma Mc's Spicy Pumpkin Chiffon Pie Recipe

  1. Mix together in top of double boiler all ingredients EXCEPT gelatin, water, egg whites and 1/2 c. sugar.
  2. Cook over warm water till thickened, stirring constantly.
  3. Soften gelatin in water.
  4. Let stand 5 min.
  5. Add in to warm pumpkin mix.
  6. Cold.
  7. Beat egg whites till stiff.
  8. Gradually add in sugar.
  9. Beat till stiff.
  10. Fold into pumpkin mix.
  11. Turn into cool pie shell.
  12. Refrigeratetill hard.
  13. Serve with slightly sweetened whipped cream.
