Strawberry Pecan Salad

  1. In small skillet, melt 3 tablespoons sugar over low heat.
  2. Add pecans; stir until coated.
  3. Cool; break into small pieces and set aside.
  4. In a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine oil, vinegar, parsley, salt, pepper, hot pepper sauce and remaining sugar; shake well.
  5. Just before serving, combine lettuce, strawberries or mandarin oranges, drained, onion and pecans in a large bowl.
  6. Shake dressing; pour over salad and toss.
  7. Serves 4 to 6.
