Bohemian Bread Dumplings Recipe

  1. It sounds like your trying toduplicate a recipe for bread dumplings.
  2. My father's side of the family is Czech.
  3. Here's their recipe for bread dumplings, and it's a no fail one at which.
  4. Sift together flour, salt, and baking pwdr.
  5. Add in Large eggs, lowfat milk, and 2 slices of bread.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Form into two dumplings.
  8. Let stand exactly 30 min.
  9. Boil 12 min on one side and 12 min on the other side.
  10. Slice into 1/2-inch slices.
  11. Serve immediately.
  12. I sometimes make a double batch of these and freeze the loaves individually.
  13. I defrost the dumplings at room temperature.
  14. To reheat the dumplings, you can either steam them or possibly reheat in the microwave covered with a damp paper towel.
