Peppery Cheese & Chive Biscuits

  1. Heat oven to 425F.
  2. Grease or line large baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, onion powder and pepper in bowl; mix well.
  4. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir cheese and chives into flour mixture until well mixed.
  6. Combine half & half and mustard in another bowl; beat with whisk.
  7. Stir into flour mixture with fork just until moistened.
  8. Spoon dough onto well-floured surface; turn to coat with flour.
  9. Knead 5 or 6 times.
  10. Pat out to 10x5-inch rectangle.
  11. Cut lengthwise in half with knife; cut crosswise into 4 equal parts to make 8 square biscuits.
  12. Place biscuits, 1 inch apart, onto prepared baking sheet.
  13. Bake 10-13 minutes or until golden brown.
  14. Serve warm.
