Marinated Anchovies

  1. Place anchovies and onion in alternating layers in a bowl.
  2. Cook vinegar, garlic, bay leaf, peppercorns and cloves for 5 minutes on low heat.
  3. Pour hot marinade over anchovies and onions.
  4. Marinate for 2 days in refrigerator.
  5. Serve cold.
