  1. Pour juice off pickles, slice (not too thin) and return pickles to jar.
  2. Add sliced garlic.
  3. Boil sugar, vinegar and allspice until mixture comes to a full boil.
  4. Pour hot syrup over pickles.
  5. Let pickles sit on shelf 3 days - then refrigerate for use.
