Brownies For A Crowd Recipe

  1. To make brownies: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat margarine and sugar till light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in Large eggs, 2 at a time, and vanilla.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Add in chocolate syrup.
  6. Sift flour, baking pwdr and salt together; stir into chocolate mix.
  7. Add in nuts.
  8. Pour into well-greased 15 1/2-by-10 1/2-by-1 inch jelly roll pan and spread proportionately.
  9. Bake 22-25 min, or possibly till slight imprint remains when touched lightly with finger.
  10. Remove pan to rack and cold.
  11. To make frosting: Combine margarine, lowfat milk and sugar in saucepan over medium heat.
  12. Stir to mix, then bring to a boil for 30 seconds.
  13. Add in chocolate pcs; stir till mix thickens slightly and cools.
  14. Add in vanilla.
  15. Spread frosting over cooled brownies, then cut into 2 1/2-by-1 inch bars.
