Everyone's Favorite Homemade Sesame Oil (Keeps for 1 Month!)
- 120 ml Vegetable oil
- 60 ml Sesame oil
- 2 tbsp Crushed fried onion
- 2 tbsp Garlic chips (crushed finely)
- 1 tbsp Shichimi spice
- 1 tbsp Ground sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Gochujang
- 1 tsp Paprika powder (optional)
- 1 tsp Mirin
- Put all ingredients (A) in a frying pan, on a medium heat.
- When it starts to simmer, lower the heat and cook further.
- When the garlic turns brown, add the mixed ingredients (B).
- Mix, let it cook for a bit and turn off the heat.
- When it looks like the photograph, turn off the heat immediately so it won't burn.
- Pour into a sterilized bin, place the lid and keep it in the refrigerator.
- Leave it for a couple of days until the ingredients blend.
- You can preserve it for a month in the refrigerator.
