Smothered Sirloin Steak in Parmesan-Peppercorn Sauce
- 1/3 cup light sour cream
- 1/4 cup Kraft Calorie-Wise Zesty Italian Dressing, divided
- 4-1/2 tsp. Kraft 100% Parmesan Light Grated Cheese
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced Safeway 3 lb For $2.99 thru 02/09
- 1 boneless beef sirloin steak (1 lb./450 g), trimmed Whole Foods 1 lb For $7.99 thru 02/09
- Mix sour cream, 2 Tbsp.
- dressing, Parmesan and pepper.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Heat remaining dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium heat.
- Add onions; cook 7 to 8 min.
- or until golden brown, stirring frequently.
- Remove onions from skillet; set aside.
- Cook steak in same skillet 3 to 4 min.
- on each side or until medium doneness (160 degrees F).
- Place on cutting board; cut across the grain into thin strips.
- Serve topped with sauce and onions.
