Broccoli With Lemon Sauce Recipe
- 500 gm (about 1 lb.) broccoli
- 15 gm (about 1/2 oz)butter
- 2 tsp plain flour
- 3/4 c. cream
- 2 x egg yolks
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. toasted flaked almonds
- Cut broccoli into flowerets, steam till it is al dente, allow to drain.
- Heat butter in small saucepan, add in flour and blend well.
- Cook roux 2-3 min, gradually whisk in cream, egg yolks and lemon juice, cook for another 2 min.
- Pour sauce over broccoli.
- Serve sprinkled with almonds.
