Custard Corn Bread Recipe
- 3/4 c. white corn meal
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 c. plus 2 teaspoon lowfat milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. butter
- Sift corn meal, flour, sugar, salt and baking pwdr together.
- Stir in lowfat milk and well-beaten egg.
- Heat butter in 8-inch square pan.
- Pour batter into pan.
- Just before closing oven door, pour 1/2 c. whole lowfat milk over top.
- Don't STIR.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 1/2 hour.
