Custard Corn Bread Recipe

  1. Sift corn meal, flour, sugar, salt and baking pwdr together.
  2. Stir in lowfat milk and well-beaten egg.
  3. Heat butter in 8-inch square pan.
  4. Pour batter into pan.
  5. Just before closing oven door, pour 1/2 c. whole lowfat milk over top.
  6. Don't STIR.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 1/2 hour.
