Mussels in Tomatoe Sauce
- 2 lbs mussels
- 1 small onion
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- 12 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons ghee
- 2 roma chopped tomatoes
- 12 cup water (more if needed)
- Simmer all ingredients but mussels.
- Once onions are tender add the mussels and simmer until the muscles open up.
- We use bread to sop up this delicious sauce.
