Chicken and dumplings
- 1 cup Chopped carrots
- 1 cup Chopped celery
- 2 cup chopped Potatoes
- 1 stick Sweet cream and salted butter
- 2 large Shredded chicken breast
- 4 small short cloves
- 1 dash Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 62 oz Great value chicken stock
- 2 small cubes of homestyle chicken lard (stock) by knorr
- 1 Pot of boiling hot water
- 2 cup Flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup egg noodles
- 1 Salt and pepper to taste
- For the soup at all of your ingredients together in the crockpot on low except for the dumplings and noodles and half of the chicken broth and chicken stock
- About 1 hour before serving cook your dumplings pull apart the dough and drop them in boiling water and they're supposed to be messy there is no method cook them for about 2 minutes and then add them to the soup so they can absorb the chicken broth they will continue to cook in the soup
- Add the noodles and the remaining stock and broth and mix around salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
- I like to prepare all of the ingredients the night before so in the morning I can drop them in the crock pot cook them on low while I'm at work and then come home and enjoy dinner and family time at the table!
