Grilled Blueberry Parcels With Blue Cheese!
- 4 firm ripe pears
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 14 cups fresh blueberries
- 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- fresh ground black pepper
- Peel the pears.
- Cut them in half lenghwise.
- Scoop out core with a spoon and sharp knife.
- Brush pears with lemon juice.
- Cut four squares of heavy duty foil large enouch to wrap pear in a "packet".
- Brush with melted butter
- Place two pear halves on each of the four squares, cut side up.
- Mix blueberries and sugar.
- Spoon into each pear half.
- Sprinkle with blue cheese crumbles and freshly ground black pepper.
- Seal the edges of each packet.
- Cook on medium hot barbecue for 20-25 minutes.
- When opening packet, steam my be VERY hot; use CAUTION.
