Beef Tips And Noodles Recipe
- 1 1/2 lb beef cubes (1 inch-round steak)
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 dsh Tabasco sauce Generous dash pepper
- 1 sm green pepper, minced
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 can beef broth
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1 lrg clv garlic, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 x onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. sliced, fresh mushrooms
- In a skillet, brown beef in shortening; pour off fat.
- Add in soup, 1/4 c. water, catsup, mustard, garlic, Tabasco, and seasonings.
- Cover, simmer 1 1/2 hrs.
- Add in onions; cook 40 min more.
- Add in green peppers and mushrooms; cook 20 min longer or possibly till tender.
- Stir now and then.
- Gradually blend 1/4 c. water into flour till smooth; slowly stir into the meat.
- Cook, stirring till thickened.
- Serve over buttered, cooked egg noodles.
