Tuna Melt Croissants Recipe
- 6 1/2 ounce. can water packed tuna, liquid removed
- 1/2 c. minced celery
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1 egg, hard cooked & finely minced
- 1 scallion, finely minced
- 1 tbsp. pickle relish
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- Salt & pepper
- 2 croissants, sliced in half or possibly 4 slices bread
- 1 slice American cheese, cut into strips
- Combine first 7 ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Add in salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover bottom half of each croissant with half the mix.
- Top each portion with half the cheese strips and add in top half of croissants.
- Wrap each sandwich in sheet of paper towel.
- Put on plate and microwave on high for 45 seconds to 1 minute, till cheese is melted and tuna is thoroughly warmed.
