Pilsbury's Salisbury Steak
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon dried basil
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 (5/8 ounce) package brown gravy mix
- 1 cup water
- In large mixing bowl, combine ground beef with onion, salt, basil and pepper.
- Mix thouroughly.
- Shape into 4 patties.
- Brown in oil in large fry pan.
- Remove patties and drain well.
- Pour drippings from fry pan.
- In same pan, saute mushrooms in butter.
- Add browned patties to mushrooms.
- Combine gravy mix, water; add to patties.
- Cover; simmer, stirring gently occasionally, 15 to 20 minutes until meat is done.
