Macrobiotic Atsuage with Thick Sweet Onion Ankake Sauce
- 200 grams Onion
- 2 Atsuage
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 Salt
- 50 ml Water
- 1 Kudzu starch dissolved in water
- 1 Olive oil
- Roughly mince the onion.
- Add oil to a pot and stir-fry the minced onion.
- When the onion is nicely browned, add the salt, soy sauce, and water.
- Now dissolve the kudzu starch in water, add to the pot, and stir until it thickens.
- Oil a frying pan, and fry both sides of the atsuage.
- Serve the atsuage with the thick onion sauce.
