slow cooker blackberry pulled pork sandwiches
- 2 cup fresh blackberries or frozen, thawed out
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 sweet onion sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 clove garlic minced
- 2 lb pork butt
- 4 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 3 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 soft sandwich buns, split for serving
- 1 bread& butter pickles for serving(opt)
- puree berries in blender until almost smooth .strain in a sieve to remove seeds.
- place blackberry puree and next 7 ingredients in a slow cooker, cook on low 8 hours
- transfer pork to a plate use knife and fork to shredd into pieces.
- put pork back into slow cooker & toss to coat in sauce.
- serve inside split sandwich buns and pickles on the side...recipe by susannah chen
