Werewolf Fingers
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes Butter
- 2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 24 (7-inch) thick pretzel rods
- 6 ounces chocolate-flavored candy coating (almond bark), chopped
- Brown decorator jimmies
- 24 whole almonds
- Place large sheet of aluminum foil onto flat surface.
- Butter foil or spray with no-stick cooking spray.
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, whipping cream and butter in 2-quart saucepan.
- Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 4-6 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 20-25 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 240F or small amount of mixture dropped into ice water forms a soft pliable ball.
- Remove from heat.
- Add baking chocolate and vanilla; stir until chocolate is melted.
- Pour chocolate mixture into 2-cup glass measuring cup or bowl.
- Dip each pretzel rod 2/3 into mixture, spreading chocolate to cover.
- Let excess drip back into cup.
- Place pretzels onto prepared foil, rotating if desired, for an even coating.
- Let stand until set.
- Place candy coating in bowl.
- Microwave 1 minute; stir.
- Continue microwaving, stirring every 15 seconds, 1-2 minutes or until melted.
