Breakfast Apples
- 3 Large Apples
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves (optional)
- 3 tbsp raw honey
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup orange juice or apple cider
- Wash, core, and thinly slice apples.
- In pan, melt butter until it begins to brown slightly.
- Add cinnamon, cloves, honey, and vanilla.
- Mix together.
- Add apple.
- Stir until coated with mixture.
- Let brown for about two minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add juice.
- Stir.
- Cover and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove lid and simmer on med - high heat, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
- Serve hot.
