Watermelon And Red Wine Drink

  1. Cut watermelon flesh into large pieces.
  2. Cut central part of flesh without seeds into enough tiny cubes to make 1 cup.
  3. Put remaining flesh into a food processor, and pulse it enough to puree it without breaking seeds.
  4. Strain.
  5. You should have 2 cups.
  6. Stir in vanilla, lime juice and, if desired, sugar to taste.
  7. Mix red wine with the watermelon puree.
  8. Serve in goblets, straight up or over ice, with some cubes of watermelon and pecans in each glass.
