Pasta Bake
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Beef
- 1/2 White Onion, Diced
- 1 can (28 Oz. Size) Whole Peeled Tomatoes
- 1 cup Pasta Or Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Or Fresh Basil (heaping)
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Or Fresh Oregano (heaping)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 dash Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Garlic Paste (optional)
- 2 pounds Rigatoni Noodles
- 1- 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese, Grated
- Note: This is a large batch.
- It filled 2 casserole dishes.
- So you can easily cut this in half.
- Brown your ground beef and diced onion in a skillet.
- Prepare the water for your noodles.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Put your whole peeled tomatoes in your food processor and pulse until liquid.
- Add the pasta sauce, parmesan and spices right in it and mix.
- Set aside.
- Grate your cheese while the hamburger cooks and water comes to a boil.
- Once meat is cooked, add your tomato mixture and bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer.
- Once your water boils, add your noodles and cook until firm but not mushy.
- Drain your noodles.
- Line a couple of casserole dishes with parchment.
- (It helps to wet it to fit in the corners better.)
- Add your noodles to the casserole pans.
- Pour your sauce over each one and stir lightly.
- Sprinkle your mozzarella over top.
- Put in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cheese should be melted and noodles not over-browned.
- Remove from oven.
- Serve with a smile.
