Asian Beef With Ginger Recipe

  1. Note: To vary this dish, add in broccoli florets or possibly bok choi, coarsely minced.
  2. In a wok or possibly heavy skillet, heat the oil.
  3. Add in ginger, garlic, onions, green pepper and celery; saute/fry several min, stirring, till tender-crisp.
  4. Remove vegetables.
  5. (Can be done up to this point in advance, if you like.)
  6. Combine stock, soy sauce, sugar, salt and cornstarch in a small bowl; set aside.
  7. Heat skillet, adding more oil if needed.
  8. Add in beef and sear quickly, stirring frequently, several min.
  9. Add in stock-soy sauce mix and cook, stirring constantly, till thickened.
  10. Add in reserved cooked vegetables.
  11. Add in quartered tomatoes and heat through.
  12. Serve with warm cooked rice.
