Hamburg Supreme
- 2 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
- 16 oz. cottage cheese
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce or puree
- grated cheese
- parsley
- Cook noodles as directed on package.
- Meanwhile, combine cottage cheese, cream cheese and sour cream in bowl.
- Brown hamburg in skillet with onion, pepper and mushrooms.
- Add tomato sauce and mix.
- In large casserole (at least 5-inches deep), arrange in 3 layers, noodles, cheese and sour cream mixture and hamburg mixture.
- Do not stir layers together.
- Sprinkle grated cheese and parsley on top.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Leave in oven at 200u0b0 until ready to serve.
