Spicy Cheese And Sausage Grits

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cook grits in boiling water in a saucepan about 8 minutes all together.
  3. (To keep from spattering, reduce heat and simmer after 2 minutes.)
  4. In another pan, cook sliced or chopped sausage with garlic .
  5. Add butter, cheese, eggs, salt, cayenne, and chiles to grits.
  6. Add sausage mix to grits.
  7. Mix until well blended.
  8. Pour into a 9 X 13 inch pan or casserole dish.
  9. Sprinkle paprika on top.
  10. Bake uncovered 1 1/4 hours until crispy top forms.
