Cinnamon Apple Rolls

  1. Combine flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk and 1/2 cup Crisco oil.
  2. Stir just enough to hold dough together.
  3. Place on lightly floured surface and knead 10 to 12 strokes.
  4. Roll to 1/2-inch thick rectangle.
  5. Cover dough with combined apples, 1/2 cup brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll up jelly roll fashion.
  7. Cut into 1-inch thick pieces.
  8. Combine 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup Crisco oil and nuts in bottom of a
  9. 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  10. Place rolls in pan.
  11. Bake at 425u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes, until desired brownness.
  12. Immediately turn upside-down onto large platter or cookie sheet.
  13. Serve warm.
  14. Makes about 8 rolls.
