Drunken Granny's Dlight

  1. Slice, peel, and pare the apples into a sauce pan.
  2. Add the cognac and fill with water until the apples are nearly covered by the mixture.
  3. Boil for five minutes and then strain.
  4. Discard the liquid.
  5. Disolve the brown sugar in the buttermilk, then add the flower, baking soda, sugar, cinnamon, and apples.
  6. Mix well and pour into a 9-inch greased cake pan.
  7. Bake for 40- 45 minutes at 350F.
  8. Serve with fresh whipped cream.
  9. Put the cream, vanilla, and 1 tbsp of sugar in chilled bowl and mix until it becomes thick.
