Sweet and Sour Chicken Burgers
- 1/2 whole Onion, Finely Diced
- 1/2 whole Orange Pepper, Finely Diced
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Ginger, Finely Minced
- 1 pound Ground Chicken
- 2 cloves Garlic, Finely Minced
- 2 dashes Black Pepper
- 18 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
- 1/2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
- 4 whole Pineapple Rings
- 1 cup Sweet And Sour Sauce
- 4 whole Hamburger Buns
- 4 leaves Lettuce
- 4 Tablespoons Mayonnaise, Or As Much As Desired For Serving
- Preheat the grill on medium high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the onion, pepper, ginger, chicken, garlic, black pepper, red pepper flakes, hoisin sauce and panko bread crumbs.
- Form into four patties.
- Put the burgers onto the hot grill and grill over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes or so on each side or until they are fully cooked.
- In the last few minutes of grilling grill the pineapple slices as well.
- Take the burgers and pineapple off of the grill and take them inside to build your burgers.
- Open up your burger buns and build the burgers on top of the bottom bun.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the burger on the bottom, then a slice of pineapple, lettuce and sweet and sour sauce.
- Spread mayo on the inside of the top bun and put it on top of your burger.
- Enjoy!
