3 Cheese Italian Burgers
- 1 pound Hamburger (80-20 mix)
- 1 pound sweet or mild Italian sausage
- 1 cup spaghetti or marinara sauce.
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons red wine, dry
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Lawry's seasoned salt
- 8 hamburger buns
- 8 slices of Provolone cheese
- Mix hamburger ingredients well and make it to 8 equal sized patties.
- Place a dimple in the middle of each patty and refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours.
- Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
- Grill hamburger patties directly over the heat.
- Cook until the juices begin to collect on the top (gently rotate on the grill as needed to avoid hot spots).
- When the juices begin to collect on the top of the patty "gently flip" over and continue cooking.
- When the juices run clear, top with provolone cheese and let's melt before removing from the grill.
- Remove from the grill and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- While cooling can quickly toast your buns on the grill.
