Killer Chocolate Cake
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 can (1 lb.) Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
- Preheat your oven to 350F.
- Mix the butter and the sugar in large mixing bowl for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Add those 4 eggs, one at a time.
- Beat the mix good after you put in each egg.
- Now sift the flour, salt and baking powder.
- Mix the flour mixture in with the chocolate syrup, and add the vanilla.
- Spread the batter in a buttered and floured 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Cook the cake for 35 minutes.
- Check from time to time towards the end.
- Once the center firms up, it's done.
- Take out and let cool.
- Frosting: Put butter, sugar and milk in a small saucepan.
- Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
- This shouldn't take longer than about 3 minutes.
- Take it off the heat and add chocolate chips.
- Stir until it smooth.
- Spread over the top of the warm cake.
