Root Beer-Glazed Chicken Wings
- 1/4 cup minced shallots
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup root beer
- 1-1/2 cups Kraft BarBQ Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. ancho chile pepper powder
- 144 pieces chicken wings (thawed, if frozen)
- Saute shallots and garlic in butter in medium skillet on medium heat 1 to 2 min.
- or until shallots are tender.
- Deglaze pan with root beer.
- Heat to simmering; reduce liquid by half.
- Stir in BarBQ Sauce and chile powder.
- Remove from heat.
- For each serving: Cook 6 wings in 325 degrees F (160 degrees C) deep fryer 8 to 10 min.
- or until done (165 degrees F 74 degrees C); drain.
- Toss wings with 1 Tbsp.
- (15 mL) prepared sauce.
