Surf n Turf Pimento Burger with Cajun Remoulade

  1. For the crab cakes: In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except oil.
  2. Take the crab mixture and form into medium-sized patties.
  3. Preheat a skillet to medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  4. Place patties in the skillet and cook for about 34 minutes on the first side, flip, and cook for additional 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from skillet and place on a plate.
  6. For the cajun remoulade: In a bowl, combine all ingredients.
  7. For the burgers: Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  8. In a large bowl, combine beef, Tabasco, salt and pepper.
  9. Form beef into large patties.
  10. Place beef patties on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on the first side.
  11. Flip, and cook for additional 3 minutes on the other.
  12. Remove patties from grill and set aside to rest before serving.
  13. To serve: Place hamburger patty on top of the bottom brioche bun.
  14. Top the burger with 1 tablespoon pimento cheese.
  15. Place the crab cake on top of the burger followed by a dollop of the remoulade.
  16. Place the top of the brioche on the remoulade and serve.
  17. Repeat for remaining burgers.
