Braised Short Ribs Of Beef Recipe

  1. Preliminary: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  3. Rub salt, pepper and garlic salt into ribs.
  4. Place ribs in pan with a half-inch of water.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, then cover completely with water.

  7. Cover with foil and bake for 2-1/2 hrs.

  9. Remove ribs from pan and place on serving platter to drain.
  10. 4.
  11. To make gravy, combine 1 c. pan drippings from baking pan and can of beef stock in a saucepan.
  12. Heat on medium heat to boiling.
  13. 5.
  14. In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch, 1/2 c. water and 1/4 tsp.
  15. pepper.
  16. Mix well.
  17. 6.
  18. Add in cornstarch mix gradually to beef stock and gently boil for 2 min, stirring constantly as it thickens.
  19. Presentation: To serve, pour gravy over ribs.
